When did you start Bodybuilding & how did you get started?
I started in October of 2008 right after freshmen football I was 14 years old and started training in my high school gym. My father was a bodybuilder when he was younger so I kind of always had the sport around me as I grew up. Ever since I have started organization and execution have stayed true, I never missed days when I started and I don’t now.
Describe your training program:
Every day I keep things very regiment I usually start training multifunctional and work to more isolated movements toward the end of each workout. Regardless of what muscle group I train I always train for volume and weight is secondary. My routine each week generally doesn’t change. Most of the time I train off of feeling and not off my ego, training heavy is great but training heavy for the wrong reasons only leads to injuries. As far as training what when, I train each muscle group once a week. I split up my legs just as I split up my upper body. I have been training on a 6 on 1 off regiment since I have started competing early 2011 and this is what it looks like.
Monday: Chest and Shoulders
Tuesday: Back
Wednesday: Core day
Thursday: Glutes and Quads
Friday: Arms
Saturday: Hams and Calves
Sunday: Off
*When i am competing I generally maintain at least an hour and a half of cardio each day post workout.
Describe your diet and supplementation:
Food, food, food. My diet varies based on what my goals are. As far as calories are concerned I usually run around 1500 calories a day when I am dieting for a show and if its my off season I am consuming 7000 calories a day at least. Protein is the most important thing in my diet, I stay very regiment with my protein intake, I try and get around at least 50 grams every three hours regardless of whether its competition season or not.
As far as supplementation it varies again based on what I am doing in that specific part of the year.
What are your favorite supplements?
I’m a big fan of Creatine in my off season, I don’t like it when I’m dieting because I try and stay as dry as possible when I’m cutting fat and building lean mass during show season. The only protein powders I will ever use are 100% whey isolate, I’m not a fan of concentrate and undergrade powders. Nitric Oxide boosters are great, I really enjoy the pumps and they’re fun to use.
Won the teen overall at the first two shows I have ever competed in. And was given the “Teen Mr. Illinois” title after I won the Illinois state, I was also interviewed by the newspaper which was alot of fun. After all the hard work the publicity after my 2011 shows felt great. I’m currently sponsored by Dick Cook’s Athletic Club in Naperville, Illinois. Its a great training studio and that’s where I get my work done, its serious and Dick Cook knows how to get things done being a bodybuilding Champion himself and sponsored Optimum Athlete. I honestly believe I have the best guidance I could possibly have living in the Midwest, I’m surrounded by a great team and it really pays off.

What are your goals for the future?
2012 Teen Nationals Overall, I’m 18 years old. I have another 2 years to take that show, this off-season I have been as big as I have ever been. Right now I’m sitting at 220 and I’m growing. I plan on hitting 240 before the years end and taking that show next June. The weights just been pilen on and I’m staying lean, so I don’t think hitting 240 is going to be a problem. If I can get higher than that, ill take it but right now the way things are going being heavy seems very promising. It’s been a great off-season.
