When did you start Bodybuilding & how did you get started?
I use to run cross-country in high school, and they would have us in the weight room doing basic movements that would help with distance running. I ended up like the weight lifting a lot more then running. And eventually would start skipping practice and focusing primarily on lifting. So I was doing arms and chest about 3x a week. By the end of my senior year in high school I decided I wanted to compete and did the NPC Long Island and Atlantic states and got rocked in the teen class. Then made a decision I only wanted to compete in Natural Organizations, about a year later did the INBF northern States super natural. Messed up my color, over dieted, but look a lot better. Ended up walking away with a third place trophy, losing to Serious Teen Bodybuilder, Michael Charles and another kid.
Describe your training:
My training is pretty normal. You need the basics to grow. For each body part I have a few core movements that are used just about every week. Chest: Incline Barbell bench, and Flat Flies. Back: Dead lift and barbell rows Biceps: Dumbbell or Barbell Curls Triceps: Close grip bench press and Different angels of skull crushers. Shoulders: Standing military press or Dumbbell press. Legs: Squat and stiff leg dead lift. Those are just all big core movements I feel should be used as much as possible. I believe strongly in feeling and using the muscle. Weight does not matter, because I am not trying to break records, I just want to become the best Natural bodybuilder I can be.
I’d have to say my best body parts are my shoulders and traps. For training them I believe in a lot of pressing movements. About 5-6 per workout, then 3-4 sets of lateral raises, whether cables, dumbbells, actual plates etc. Then a front raise of some type such as with a bar, dumbbell or plate. Then a Shrugging movement, which is a good weight maybe 275 and do 5 seconds up then 5 second squeeze then 5 seconds down when squeezing, I have found that worked best for me.
Describe your Diet & Supplementation:
Diet varies from time to time. But as a whole it’s between 3-4 whole food meals. Usually chicken, lean ground beef, or ground turkey with each of the whole food meals for protein. Carbs vary from oats, brown rice, sweet potatoes, wheat
bread or pasta, grits. And fats I just eat when I want, almonds, peanut butter olive oil etc. For supplements. I feel first and foremost they are overrated especially by teenagers. There’s no miracle powder or pill, just diet and hard work. I would say one product that works is Genr8 Vitargo. Yes they are my sponsors but I have been using it since way before I was sponsored. I found that it worked, and being able to use it as a pre, intra or post workout product helped a ton. Having Anthony Almada the Owner of that company look over my diet, and training and supplementation has helped me a ton, and when looking for supplements look for proof! That’s why vitargo is great; it has been proven in multiple university studies to work on humans.
Your Favorite Supplements:
Genr8 Vitargo this is my holy grail I don’t train without it. Vita Sport Protein synthesis 7 isolate , Primaforce Bulk Powders: Beta alanine, Citrulline, Creatine, Monohydrate or sometimes Gaspari size on, Every once in a while I like to use a pre workout product from companies like Universal Nutrition, such as animal rage ,or Mhp Dark rage.
