In What Show will you make your Open men’s Debut, and how many weeks out did you begin your prep?
2011 contra Costa championships and I started my diet 16 weeks out.
What was your main focus during the offseason to prepare for your move into the open men’s class & and how was your offseason different to last time?
My main focus this offseason was to bring up my upper body more to match my legs. This offseason was different than my past offseason because I didn’t get so over weight this offseason my heaviest was 270 with 21″ arms and still had good abs and striated legs. So I stayed much harder this past offseason and it kind of allowed me to train more intense and be more focused.
What training techniques did you use to bring up your weak body parts?
To bring up my weak body parts such as biceps and triceps I focused a lot more on the squeeze and stretch techniques, slower concentrated movements with a lot of constant resistance on the peaks of the muscle. For back I did lots of lat movement and dumbbell pullovers for widening my back more and for chest I focused a lot more on incline chest press and incline movements and took more time off on the lower chest movements this helping my chest to have a more balanced look.
Throughout your prep, what type of cardio have you utilized? And how long and how often do you do it?
Throughout prep this year I did almost all stair stepper cardio for an hour in the morning everyday on empty stomach
What bodyweight did you compete at the last time you competed? And what weight class do you hope to compete in this time?
Last time I competed I weighed around 220 and this time I will be much more leaner at 225 this being I wanted to make heavyweights and be shredded and conditioned at the top of my weight class and not be a small super heavyweight.
Other than my sponsors I’d like to thank my wonderful parents Krag An Brenda for everything they have ever done for me I love you guys to death and will forever be there for you! And I’d also like to thank my wonderful trainer William Ayoubi for making me the absolute best I can be, with out you I wouldn’t know how to reach these kind of levels but u make it to where the sky is the limit thank you Will!
I would just like to say I love what I do. Every single day I wake up and I thank the lord for blessing me with another day to be the
best I can be. I always train my heart out and always do everything I can and know of to make myself a lil better. In order to accomplish your dreams in life u must make many sacrifices, step on people toes, and do things u don’t want to do; because dreams do not come
Easy but one things for sure when u accomplish your dream you will have the best feeling in life you ever could imagine. No amount of money or fame could ever amount to this feeling, so get out there set your mind on your dream focus and be determined that u will let nothing stop you, and your dream will be in your hands. Life is short live it to
The fullest so when u get older u can look back and know u did everything u dreamed of doing. Be a champion within yourself and always be good to those that are
Good to you!
